(web) I’ll choose my own password thankyou very much

What is all this bloody net-nannying about passwords & security knocking about? JEESUS. ‘Your password must contain at least 8 characters long and contain 1 number’ I mean who on earth is going to guess my password is peniscolada, is it really going to be that much more difficult for them to guess p3niscolada in THREE ATTEMPTS. Ohh let’s see – ‘password’ – damn! ‘passw0rd’ – damn she’s good.. ‘peniscolada’ ACCESS GRANTED ! ftw! i suppose this all harks back to the days of those automated code breakers that scan through the dictionary but everything is CAPTCHA now, and anyway – if you really are stupid enough to chose a bloody easy password then you deserve to have your computer used as pornography server by russian hackers – and let that be a lesson to you. Best way to learn I say.

I am not kidding right:

username: leperisland
name: Caroline Clifford
password: p3niscolada
error: ‘password must not be too similar to username or full name’. I’m sorry Mrs Penis – your password is a terrible security risk.

And this was just for a del.icio.us account. Ohh no, please don’t hack into my social bookmarking site and say I like lolcatz when really I think its not that good. MY BOOKMARKS ARE MY IDENTITY!
